How we recruit our security guards

Recruitment and selection of security guards can be a difficult and tedious process, but at Global Shield Security we understand the importance of hiring only qualified and capable security personal for our company.

When recruiting we don’t just hire the first person that come through the door we actively search for the right candidates. The problem that most security guard companies have is that they don’t place the right guards at the right location. A guard who is made to work at a shopping center and interact with people is not the same guard you want to send at a construction site. Or you want to make sure that you hire a guard for a night shift such as an apartment complex who can stay awake and interact with people while at a manufacturing facility you want to make sure that the guard is a morning person and deals well with truckers or plant workers.

There is a huge pool of security officers so we do our best to recruit the ones that can go through our training programs and understand the core values of our company.

Some things that we look for in our employees are:

  • Integrity
  • Truthfulness
  • Courage
  • Good decision making skills
  • Reliability

  • Final Selection Process
  • For facilities who require more in depth screening we use twice as well as other checking systems
